Long ago, in times so old
When men were children in the world
We knew exactly how to see
To feel, to laugh, to dream clearly
To see outside the earthly limits
Our eyes so hatefully impose
To feel not using our hands
But using our hearts instead
To laugh so hard our breath would stop
To reach for air in happiness
To dream about our goals all night
Instead of making dreams for goals
Long ago, in times so old
When men were children in the world
We knew exactly how to love
To touch, to hold, to give our all
To love as purely as our hearts
To keep our love in pure white hands
To give it all to just one person
To make it feel like something precious
We knew to touch and where to touch
We knew to stop and when to stop
Our hugs were symbols of our joy
Sharing emotions we enjoy
We used to give it all to them
Them, who we cared about
Long ago, in times so old
When men were children in the world
We cared not for taking lives
For making others tell our lies
For fighting in these pointless feuds
For killing people based on moods
Long ago, in times so old
When men were children in the world
The Earth itself was happy too
No wars to fight, no lives to chew.
