I touched the snow today
And just like that my finger froze
I guess you’re not meant to play
With the skies water rose
At first my finger turned white
And then my whole hand turned to ice
My body poisoned with the blight
Tainting beauty comes with a price.
I ran inside, before I shattered
I needed warmth, I needed fire
Before my body broke to pieces, scattered
The cold spread like wildfire.
I was too late, you see
My hand fell off and turned to snow
I never believed that could be
I was too late to hide, I was too slow.
I touched the snow today
I tainted beauty and had to pay
I’ll make a new hand, out of clay
Never again will I stray.
