To autumn

They all look at you with sadness
And mourn the passing of the sun
For yours are the times of darkness
Of rains, of clouds, of violent winds.

You take the warmth away from people
And leave them fighting for the sun
You take away their pretty flowers
And give them nothing in return.

They only see you as destroyer
As killer of the summer joy
As plague spreading your rusty colors
Around the earth and to its plants.

But worry not, oh rusty princess
For many do still love you so
And celebrate with open arms
The pictures that you start to draw.
